Knuckles the Echidna is a red echidna that can use his spiked fists to break rock walls. Knuckles is a hero that lives on Angel Island and is is the last echidna of his tribe. Knuckles often fell for Eggman's tricks. Knuckles was tricked into thinking Sonic came to the island to steal the Master Emerald. The Master Emerald is a large powerful emerald that can neutralize the power of the Chaos Emeralds, it is Knuckles' job to gaurd the Master Emerald. Knuckles is both friend and rival to Sonic.
